About Us

My name is Chellie and I am mum to 3 Bichon Frise; Bonnie, Mollie and Lacey Lou and 2 very friendly kittens named Tasha & Oscar. I am very passionate about all pets especially my own Best Friends and have recently completed a course in Animal Welfare and Dog Grooming. I am also a member of the Irish Professional Dog Groomers Association (IPDGA). I recently decided to start my own business and what better way to start than with something that is very close to my heart. In early 2011 I set up Best Friends World; a high quality pet store selling Dog Clothes and Accessories and I also opened a “free range” dog grooming parlour.

I offer a unique “Free Range” dog grooming service. I do not cage or sedate any dog in my care; my clients receive a full, friendly and professional pamper and are free to run around an enclosed garden before/after their pamper session. Due to the fact that I only take a small number of dogs per day, each dog is guaranteed to receive one-on-one attention in a relaxed environment. I have also developed an online appointments diary for the grooming service so that clients can avoid disappointment.

I aim to offer other dog lovers the sort of grooming service that I struggled to find … your dog will be cared for just as well as I care for my own girls, with loads of kisses, cuddles and belly rubs on demand.

My Dog Clothes and Accessory shop is based in Cahir, Co Tipperary and is open 7 days per week. The shop is currently open by prior appointment only however the online store is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. You will also find us every Sunday in Cahir Business Park at the “Big 1″ located in unit 41 & 42 indoors. The range of pet products I carry has been personally selected by myself, based on my experience of sourcing them over the years for my own Best Friends!! I stock pet fashion lines from Dobaz, IS Pet Fashion, Pinkaholic NY and Puppia. There are also lots of practical items such as dog collars, bowls, waterproof coats and hoodies ….. you’ll be able to walk your dog in all weathers, without the hassle of having to wash them when you get home.

I also stock training/safety aids such as the innovative Puppy Bumpers. These stylish pillow-collars are designed to prevent an active puppy escaping through a fence or falling from a balcony and are easily attached to an existing collar for extra comfort.

We have also just introduced a new online voucher system which allows you to print off your voucher – simply select the value of the voucher you require, make your payment via our Virtual Terminal with Laser or Credit Card (requires a phone call) or via our shopping cart with your Credit Card and receive your coded voucher via email. Vouchers start at €10.00 and go up to €50.00 however if you would like a different amount just contact us and we can generate a manual voucher.
